A truly wonderful and very handsome antique victorian natural yellow cape diamond & blue sapphire gypsy signet ring set into solid 9ct yellow gold.
Set at the heart of this very unique and rare victorian survivor, we find a gorgeous vivid natural old mine cut yellow cape diamond. This ring has been held in the same private family for over 140 years. The story goes that this diamond was bought as a betrothed gift but sadly the future bride passed away young and diamond was re purposed for this unique signet ring in her memory. This diamond has a really unusual greenish yellow colour to it yet at the same time the stone almost glows back at you. This diamond is a natural untreated stone and given is strength of colour is a very rare thing to come across in today’s antique jewellery world. Set on either side with two beautiful old round cut natural blue sapphires. These gems perfectly frame this rare natural coloured diamond and give the ring that wonderful finishing touch. The ring sits so well on the finger and would make a truly unique addition to anyone fine antique jewellery collection.
