A striking antique Edwardian natural Burmese Red spinel & Diamond set statement ring set into solid 18ct yellow gold

Set at the heart of this truly amazing gem set treasure, we have one of the earth most loved and rare natural treasures. The Burmese Blood red spinel, a gemstone that has been the centre piece for royal crowns and jewels for hundreds of years. This stone has one of the most vibrant and strong blood red colours I have ever seen in a spinel. The almost neon! Blood red sparkle that this gemstone displays in natural lighting has to be seen to be truly admired. The gem has been set with two large ice white old cut diamonds. These diamonds have been very well matched against one another and have so much life and fire to them. Both diamonds are very clean stones with only a few minor inclusions to be seen under basic magnification. However, it has to be the shoulder work in this ring that just makes this a truly stunning antique jewel to have on the hand. With a river on each side of ice white old cut diamonds that just add that perfect finishing touch to the design.

· Genuine natural white diamonds – all old mine cut stones – measuring from approx – 4.8mm to 4.7mm for the larger stones and 2.3 to 2.2m for the smaller stones – total weight approx 1ct

· Solid 18ct yellow gold setting – not hallmarked – has been tested

· UK ring size – P & half – can only be resized by a good accredited jeweller
