A striking vintage treasure that has been held in the same family’s collection since the ring was created in the late 1960s. The ruby however is believed to have come from a much older ring made in the 1930s and was used to create this absolutely stunning statement jewel.

Set at the heart of this treasure, we have one of the worlds most loved and collected gemstones the natural untreated Burmese Ruby. This ruby is special for not only for the fact is comes in at over 2cts! In size. It also possesses that rare pigeon blood red quality that you will only find in the most expensive ruby’s in the world today. The ruby has only some natural inclusion but is overall a clean stone with great transparency. The stone has only one minor chip to one side that you could have polished out should you so wish to do so. This dazzling rare ruby is then surrounded and encased by over 2cts of some of the best quality diamonds you will see. These stones have all been perfectly matched in colour and quality. The diamonds in this jewel are all eye clean with very little inclusion to be seen even under magnification. My local gem expert has looked over this ring and has advised the diamonds are all VVs2 in clarity with F/G colour. The diamonds are all so full of life and fire and you only have to move a fraction of an inch before they blind you with their firework display. The ring has been so well made and because of this sits so well on the finger. This is what You call a statement ring and needs no other jewellery to announce itself to the world.

·         Genuine natural Burmese Ruby – old oval cut stone – measuring 9.7mm by 8mm by 3.2mm – stated at 2.1ct – could be bigger has not been removed from the setting – minor chip to one side with minor abrasion to the surface – will be polished out for the new owner at our cost

·         Genuine natural white diamonds – all round brilliant cut – you have 12 diamonds all measuring from 3.8mm to 3.4mm in size – total weight 2.1ct

·         Solid 18ct yellow gold setting – hallmarked 18ct – rubbed with age and wear
