Shipping and Handling

Every piece from Taylor Alexandra is carefully packed and dispatched via Royal Mail Special Delivery, fully insured for its value. We understand the trust involved in purchasing antique jewellery online, and we’ve made every arrangement to ensure your treasure arrives safely.

In the rare case that an item is unsuitable for Royal Mail, we’ll arrange alternative delivery and let you know.

Delivery Costs

With UK orders, there is no additional charge for delivery, it is included in the sale price. For orders outside the UK, delivery costs vary depending on destination and item value. Please get in touch and we’ll arrange a custom quote: [email protected]

Delivery Process

All deliveries require a signature for security. If you’d prefer your parcel left in a safe place, such as a porch or somewhere discreet, you can leave instructions at checkout. Please note this would be at your own risk, and we couldn’t be held responsible for loss or damage once the parcel has been left.

If you’re out when delivery is attempted, a card will usually be left to let you know. A redelivery attempt may be made the following working day. If this second attempt fails, the courier may hold your parcel for up to 7 days while you arrange a future delivery. If you don’t collect or reschedule, you may be charged for redelivery.

Delivery Times

Please allow 2 full working days from the dispatch notification email for your order to arrive.

If you haven’t received your goods after 5 working days, please do get in touch and we’ll resolve it for you straight away.

Delivery Instructions

During checkout, you may have the option to leave delivery instructions for the courier. If you request that a parcel be left in a safe place, you’ll be responsible for the parcel after it has been delivered, and we couldn’t be held responsible for any damage or loss as a result.

Failed Delivery

In circumstances where the courier has tried to deliver your parcel but, due to no access or no contact, is unable to complete the delivery, the package will be returned to us. Unfortunately, we can’t accept liability where the courier has attempted delivery but simply couldn’t reach you.

International Delivery

Please get in touch for international delivery rates. Due to the variety and value of the pieces we sell, a custom shipping quote may be required: [email protected]

Returns Policy

Damaged Goods

On receiving your parcel, please inspect the packaging and contents before signing. If you notice any damage to the parcel, the jewellery, or if anything appears to be missing, please sign as “damaged”, “contents missing”, or “unchecked” if you’re unable to check the parcel at the time of delivery.

Contact us immediately with your order number and details of the issue. We may ask for photographs so that a claim can be opened with the courier. Once confirmed, we’ll be in touch to discuss the best way forward.

In the event of damage or issues, please notify us within 14 days of delivery in line with Consumer Contracts Regulations.

Change of Mind

If your order arrives safely and you simply change your mind, please notify us within 14 days. Once we’ve acknowledged your return request, you have a further 14 days to send the item back to us.

Returns accepted after the 14-day period may incur a £25 restocking and cleaning fee. You’re responsible for the cost and risk of returning items, and we’d recommend using an insured postal service that covers the full value of the piece.

If you change your mind after placing an order but before it’s been dispatched, please let us know as soon as possible. A charge for the returned goods may apply and would be deducted from your refund.

All returned items should be in the same condition as sent. We can only accept undamaged goods.

Your refund will be processed as soon as we’ve received and inspected the item, though please allow up to 30 days.
