This gem has that wonderful textbook rich blood red colour with hints of raspberry pink. The gem has an astonishing natural glow to it even under munch darker lighting conditions. This gem has that wonderful antique late 19th century cutting and very likely came from an earlier antique treasure that was passed down. It was common for expensive jewels to be repurposed as they were passed down to allow them to be adapted for the styles of the period.
