A truly striking vintage made natural 3.1ct rich cornflower blue sapphire & Diamond set statement ring set into solid 18ct yellow gold

Set at the heart of this stunning classical treasure, we have a large completely natural 3.1ct unheated blue sapphire with that incredible cornflower blue colour. I have had this gem looked at and have been advised the stone is likely Burmese or Ceylon in origin. The sapphire is an older native cut stone and very likely came from a much earlier item of jewellery. So what you have here is very likely well over 120 years old. The sapphire is then set with a collection of ice white natural round brilliant cut diamonds. These diamonds have been so well matched against one another and have a great life and fire to them. They frame this amazing central sapphire perfectly and just add that perfect finishing touch as diamonds always do. I just love the look of this ring on the finger it scream elegance and understand glamour.
