You have here a antique elongated pear cut stone. This gem has been cut my a master cutter and has such an extraordinary character to it. This stone was very likely taken from a much larger and grander 19th century necklace that was likely taken apart as so many of these larger and grander jewels were as styles and tastes changed.

The attention to detail here is just fantastic and what really makes this stand out has to be this wonderful hand cut triangle old rose cut diamond that sits at the base of the setting.
