Up for sale today – something very unusual
This incredible antique treasure has been in private hands for many years from the south west of England. Set with a collection of wonderful antique 17th and 18th century rose cut diamonds. Theses gems were likely taken from another earlier antique jewel that was broken up in my opinion. As the larger rose cut stones have this wonderful dome effect that you only real see in much older rose cut stones. However, it has to be the larger stone that catches the eye here, with this wonderful rich golden yellow colour.
The diamond has no fluorescence so I strongly suspect that the colour in natural and not enhanced by foil. The life and fire you will see in this piece is just something you have to see yourself. The stone is then surrounded in this gorgeous flower design that is showered with smaller rose cut diamonds. As you go along the design you then have a collection of rose cut stones in various shapes and sizes all wonderfully matched. I just love the look of this piece and the way you can use this in so many ways. You can thread it through a chain to create a huge statement pedant drop, or a broch or even threaded between pearls to create a really striking look for any pearl necklace.
If you have been looking for something extra special, or you just adore antique jewellery and harder to find unique jewels this could be a great choice for you.
