This incredible statement jewel has come from a estate collection in south coast and is believed to have been bought in Paris in the late 1960s. The jewel is set with a collection of very well match untreated royal blue natural sapphires, our local gem expert has looked this treasure over and believes the gems to have come from the mines in both Ceylon and Burma.
To find sapphires of this pure royal blue colour is incredibly rare, and it remains one of the most sought-after shades within the sapphire family. The stones play beautifully with the light, full of life and sparkle, and really do have to be seen in person to be truly appreciated.
They are set alongside a collection of ice-white, perfectly matched old round cut diamonds and baguette cut diamonds. The diamonds are all eye clean, with that hard-to-find pure white brightness, full of fire and life. Together, they create a striking statement of icy diamond sparkle and piercing royal blue colour. I can honestly say this is the kind of piece you will reach for again and again – with Christmas jumpers, New Year coats, and any other occasion you can find an excuse for.
If you have been looking for that perfect 1950s brooch, or you just adore those bold stunning diamond and gem set brooches this could be absolutely perfect for you.
