A truly striking pair of antique Art deco made 7.2ct Ceylon Sapphire drop statement earrings set into solid 9ct yellow gold
These gorgeous antique gems set treasures have been in the same private collection for over 70 years that is known. Set with a collection of very well matched natural blue sapphires from the mines in Ceylon. These gems have a beautiful natural colour to them and are untreated stones meaning they are the colour they were when they were mined from the earth. Only a small percentage of sapphires are natural without treatment.
I love the drop and look of these earrings they are so unique and striking to have in the ear. They sit very well and have a great weight to them so they are not going to be too heavy on your ears either. These are all old native cut sapphires that catch and play with the light in a way that only this antique cut can do so.
